Background

Countryside Partnerships, now one of the country’s leading home builders partnered with L&Q in a 50/50 joint venture to provide 3,000 homes over 31 hectares of the former Dagenham Ford site in Rainham.

Rotec Security Solutions Ltd, was approached by Countryside with the challenge of improving the construction schemes’ steel door security package and supply chain, with a technical design objective to enhance new homeowners’ door safety and security. In phase 1, as a result of an audit carried out by Countryside Partnerships, the need to reduce possible resident injury threats became apparent. The weight of a steel door opening onto a hidden resident or visitor behind a door presented a potential problem, in addition to a strong wind increasing the force of a door being opened, heightening the impact weight danger.

Our Solution

The review led to the ancillary doors and high-rise communal entrance door specification standard being revised in the specification for phase 2, leading to Countryside awarding Rotec with the next phase’s steel door design to install package, just shy of half a million.

Rotec’s premium range of ancillary steel entry doors are revolutionary, hitting architects Patel Taylor’s approval on the quality and finish, and meeting building regulations to support first-order and installation success.

The bike shed and waste bin blocks received new steel doors that had a louvred and vision panel integral to the steel framed opening system, which enabled visibility into the room to reduce personal accidents or injury especially with strong winds..

Rotec’s steel-glazed doors with magnetic locks and intelligent pass recognition were the preferred choice for Countryside’s’ new residential high-rise apartment blocks. The enhanced communal entrance door security specification instead of the aluminium framed glazed door systems simply added value offering a higher level of performance all around, reducing possible threats of stealth attack forced entry.

Our LPS 2081 communal entrance glazed steel doors are designed specially to enhance first impressions made by clients, customers, and visitors. We have invested substantially in the last year ensuring our manufactured LPS 2081 rated glazed doors offer premium quality steel, glass and furnishing over other such products. We are delighted to be increasing our LPS 2081 steel door order book on other residential schemes which include a number of new exciting projects again from Countryside. We advise installing our communal entrance doors in high-traffic areas like reception, corridors, open-plan spaces, and we welcome any new enquiries says Jethro Roberts, Managing Director.
