Background

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service, also known as The Jack Copland Centre, are specialist providers of blood, tissue and cells. Based in Edinburgh, they ensure a constant supply of stock to NHS services across the country and also provide specialist training for NHS employees.

The centre comprises a 1,000 m² processing hall, several laboratories, office spaces and a bistro.

Our Solution

Due to the nature of the project, several bespoke designs were required: air tight lab spaces required specialist internal steel doors to ensure security and cleanliness; 4 fire rated doors were supplied as a cost effective alternative to timber doors; various access control interfaces were implemented throughout and the sectional overhead doors had panoramic glazing to meet specification.

Doors Installed

9 Sectional Overhead Doors

23 External Doors

11 Fire Rated Steel Doors

1 Roller Shutter
