Background
Telford Homes, in partnership with DLA Architecture, embarked on a £105m project to redevelop a former industrial site into a new residential and commercial space called Equipment Works. The project, located within the Blackhorse Lane action plane area in Walthamstow, aims to provide much needed new homes and space for local enterprises, including start-ups and small business. The design of the development was influenced by local heritage narrative and landscape, with an emphasis on creating public spaces.
Our Solution
Rotec was appointed to supply and install 20 LPS1175 SR2 Security Rated Steel Doors. These steel doors provide mid-level security and resistance to more sophisticated attempts of forced entry, including those that create noise. Rotec worked closely with Telford Homes to ensure that the doors met the specific requirements of the project, including cost-effectiveness.
Our LPS1175 SR2 Security Rated Steel Doors have undergone testing in order to achieve the Secured by Design status, an initiative which helps to ‘design out’ crime through the use of high-quality, innovative products and processes.
The installation of the LPS1175 SR2 Security Rated Steel Doors provided an effective and cost-effective solution for meeting the safety requirements of the Equipment Works developments. The doors were installed to a high standard and met the security requirements of the project, providing mid-level security and resistance to forced entry attempts. The partnership between Rotec and Telford Homes resulted in the successful delivery of affordable homes within the Equipment Works development.
